Donate now to help us expand our Prison Book Club program to provide essential educational and therapeutic support to 800 incarcerated readers.
A key part of our program is the Free Minds Connect, a unique magazine written by and for our members, featuring reentry resources, local news, poetry and personal essays, book discussions, and much more.
Free Minds member Stephen wrote, "I read every book that you send, and digest every Connect that I receive in the mail...One thing that you guys have really done for me is, you have empowered me to write new chapters of my life. And this has led me to empower others to do the same...I can never thank you guys enough. There was a time in my life when Free Minds was the brightest star shining. For this, I will always be grateful. My mind will always be free."
Free Minds member TS, who writes an advice column in the Connect, wrote, "Just yesterday I received the latest Connect and it lifted my spirits and hope reading all the wonderful things. Above all, I appreciate being able to reach out and give advice from my position and maybe help someone in the community and throughout the prison system. If you don't mind, I'm sending my court a copy of my articles to let them know I'm steadfast involved with my community despite all these Covid restrictions. I'm so proud of myself that I'm also sending my family copies."
